Trying to pick out my wedding flowers was one of the toughest things I had to do....okay, picking out anything for my wedding was tough! I second guess everything and even though I fell in love with one thing, I always felt there was something else just a little better out there. Below are all the flowers that could've been..........

No Makeup...just babies

So ever since I got married (almost 3 years ago) I've been obsessed with ANYTHING wedding related, including photography. I love looking for great wedding photographers and then stalk their blogs religiously...lol! While surfing the net I came across Lori Dorman Photography and I was hooked. Now she may not photograph makeup, fashion, or even weddings but her pictures are AMAZING! She specializes in Maternity, children, and family photography and all I can say is.....WOW. On another baby related note, I babysat my nephew (and godson) Lucas last night...isn't he a cutie??

I have a total of 11 nieces and nephews altogether but this is the first time that I was in charge of babysitting a 9 month old all by myself and putting him to sleep for the night. O.M.G.....what a task. For some reason I thought putting a baby to sleep was going to be easy, but boy was I wrong. He screamed and cried...then I screamed...and cried (just kidding...not really) but after 40 minutes this cute little baby finally fell asleep in my arms. I actually called my sister to find out what "special trick" she used......FYI, I just had to rock him in my arms and walk around the house at the same time. He was drenched in sweat and his eyes were swollen from crying, but as he drifted off to sleep with his last crying breath all I could think about was how much I loved him and how wonderful it will be to have a baby of my own some day.

The following set of pictures are of Susie, a beautiful bride I had the pleasure of working with in April. Susie wanted a very natural bridal look, so for her trial we kept her makeup very light and simple. When the day of her wedding arrived she had decided on a more dramatic look...and I think the results are stunning! Susie, I'm sure you took your grooms breathe away walking down that aisle!

It's that time of year!

Graduations and proms are happening everywhere right now and I had the pleasure of being a part of my nieces. Below is a before and after pic of my niece Juliet on her graduation day. Aaahh, I remember highschool like it was yesterday.....actually I don't, and those who know me best probably know why! LOL!

Ready for your closeup?

So last week I had a wonderful opportunity to get together with an amazing photographer for a mini photoshoot. Since I mainly want to focus on wedding makeup I really tried to keep the makeup looking fresh and natural. I thought Marisa did a great job capturing the vintage and romantic feel in her photos! The picture above is the first picture I've seen from the shoot......hopefully I will have more to show you by the end of the week!
